Johann Riedl and his wife Anna decided to go to the USA in 1877. It is without doubt they settled in Kansas in the village Olmitz or its near surrounding. Married couple emigrated to Kansas with their children. This fact is confirmed in the following text. Datas of birth are taken from registry office Šumvald, the same data of birth were found out in evidence of dead in Olmitz, Kansas and on server and this fact was also confirmed by Mr. Bert Riedl from Kansas (predecessors of Ibnatz Riedl and great-grandmother Wictoria Riedel originally from Porstendorf = Bořitov, Olomoucký region). And for the fourth time, I got data from James Philips from Kansas about the dead generation of Riedl from Johann (16.5.1821) up to the present generation, that are on nineteen pages confirming data from Bert Riedl and broadening them. Johann died 18.4.1901 at the age of eighty years . Anna died at the age of sixty years 18.4.1884 in Olmitz, Kansas.

At this place I have to stop and explain how I found the data of Riedl´s family in America. I have already appealed on Bert Riedl and James Philips in the introduction and I also have to mention Mr. Vernon Rydel-a Kostohryz-e who gave mi some contacts in Olmitz. I wrote letters, e-mails, presented my first version of internet web pages about our tribe, asked data from the world search. One day I received a letter with e-mail in czech language :

Dear Mr. Riedl,
My name is Jim Phillips and the natal name of my mother was Esther Riedl. My family came from the village Sumvald at Morava, in the surrounding of Olomouc, Czech Republic. The grandfather of my grandfather was Johann Ried who brought his family to America in May 1877 . They moved to prairie near the town Olmitz, state Kansas, where their family farmed. Olmitz lies about 200 miles west from Kansas City, state Missouri. I In this region also his son employed himself with agriculture for some time, in years 1903-1910 owned a saw mill as well as a shop with general merchandise in Olmitz. One of Franz sons, my grandfather Charley Riedl, used to farm as well.
I live in Omaha, state Nebraska and work for telecommunication company Qwest Communications. I am 51, my wife´s name is Nancy. We have two daughters: Julie (15) and Kelli (18). For some time I have already been working on genealogy of the family Riedl in America, from Johann to the present time but you are the first contact with this family in Europ. I am very interested in writing with you to tell me some information and show some photographs.

And now it actually continues.

The family of James "Jim" Philips

Next I will talk just about the predecessors „in male tail“ with the exception of James Philips who in fact is the predecessor „ in female tail“ but he is genealogist of the american Riedl´s tribe.
As I have already mentioned Johann had eight predecessors who grew up. About the two sons (Johan-John Capistran a Sigmund) there are no reports. The sons who had continuators of the tribe were:
Rudolf - continuator of line A01R
Franz - continuator of line A01F
