was a working-man. He got married Judita N. and his son Jiří (1727-1795) established in Sumvald Riedl´s branch - living today in Brevenec and is called : line Brevenec.
Old Jirik Riedl died in Sumvald 15. 9. 1718, at the age of 70 years. According to the chronicle in  Sumvald, Jirik Riedl bought in 1687 farm land No. 40, that became family farm land and Riedl´s kept it up to 1893, when Jan Riedl sold it and emigrated to America. The farm land was in keeping of Riedl´s for 206 years. According to the memories of Mrs. Wiederman, acre belonging to the farm land were over 13 hectares. These fields were collectivized when establishing the co-operative in Sumvald.

Priest Vaclav Ferdinad Pelikán , governor of the šumvald´s chapelry, baptized in the church of Holy Mikulas, 7.3.1692, child of Jiri Riedl and Mariana. Child kept the name Georg (Jiří). For evidence in the direct line it is Georg II. God-father Jan Krysten held him in his hands at this spiritual ceremony. 15.4.1714 at the age of 22 years Georg II. married Rosina. They had 6 children.

Joanes 22.11.1744 married Zuzana Ostadal-ova and established a new dead Riedl´s tribe in Sumvald. He lived in No. 37 and had 7 chilren. His son Vavrin (1759-1805) had 4 chilren , one of them Vaclav (1801- 1843) got married and had no children. The continuation of this dead tribe daughter Marianna (1803-1839) provided. She was an unmarried mother and although her son Karel (1834) was married, his children are the last in the branch in Sumvald in the sixtieth´s years of the 19th century. Old Jan – founder of this dead tribe, died in 1799 at the age of 66 years.

Pastor Ondřej Sperling baptized 27.6.1751 the child of farmer Jiri Riedl and his wife Judita. The boy got the name of his father Georgius (Jiri). We call him as Georgius IV. He grew up in sumvald´s estate No.40. When he was 10 his mother died. In his 28 years Georgius IV. married. The new housewife in the farm land No.40 bacame farm daughter Teresie Filipová. Terezie was 7 years older than Jiří. She was born 22.3.1758 in the family of the farmer Josef Filip and his wife Barbora. Terezie gave birth to 11 children of Jiri. Teresie died in the sixtieth´ years 26.3.1818.

The last day of 1784, a child was born on the farm land No. 40 in Sumvald , who the local pastor Antonín Pech babtized. The name was given after his god-father, innkeeper Josef Balcárek from Šumvald. Young Josef lived on native estate until 1815. This year, 2.2.Josef has been mated with Jan Hejný´s daughter Juliana. This year we can consider to be the year of leaving the watched direct line from the farm No. 40, which was inherited in 1814 by Josef´s brother Karel, whose descendants lived there until 1900. According to the aviable fountain, home land No.40 was sold by Jan Riedl to Wiederman´s and then he reputedly moved to America. This fact wasn´t verified.
Juliana, Josef´s wife was born 18.12.1794 in Sumvald No. 104, in family of farmer Hejny and Jana nee Bodova. Josef became gardener on the homeland No.96 and had 6 children with Julia .

Vendelin was born as the third son of farmer Josef Riedlel and his wife Julie, 20.10 1819. Just 19 years old Vendelin married Katerina – 21 years old, daughter of in that time dead crofter (+ 12.10.1836) Antonín Kunschner from No. 170. Vendelín got by marriage this house No.170. His uncle Karel was witness (1791-1853), farmer from native farm land No.40. Vendelin with Kateřina had 6 children.
ANTON * 22.12.1838, married Terezie Seidl-ová, but after 1868 there are no records about this family in Sumvald, their children lived on No. 178 in Sumvald, probably the living scions.
KONRÁD* 18.4.1840, married in 1865 Terezie Nykl-ova, daughter from Sumvald No. 103. Konrád was a crofter, No. 179, where he had with his wife 5 children.I was lucky here as well, one day descendants of the dead tribe, that was found by Konrád, made them heard. Today they live in Rapotín, Vykírovice, and as this villages are close to Sumperk, I named this line Sumperk´s line

The youngest son of Vendelin Riedl and his wife Marianna, Frantisek, was born on the 28th of November 1846 in Sumvald 170. Barbora Unger-ova helped him to see „the light of the world“ , an old sumvald´s midwife from No. 8.
The Frantisek´s destiny is not noted in many fields. In the sixtieth years of the 19th century he got married . We do not know who was his wife and where he lived with her. We also don´t know whether he had some descendants from the first marriage or not. The fact is that when he got married Anezka in 1876, he had already been widower. We also know that he was flour-milling aid this time.
On the 31st of October 1876 he got married widow, Anezka Borovicka-ova, in Bystrice under Hostýn. Anežka was a widow of dead turner Rudolf Borovicka from No. 5 in Bystrice under Hostyn. Rudolf Borovicka died 10.9.1875 on TBC at the age of 37 years.
Anezka came from Rataje, where she was born in 1840 in the family of farmer, Jan Novak and Anna, born Reznicková. At the time of marriage she was already 36 years and was six years older than František. After the mariage they lived sometime in Kroměříž-Novosady, number 8. Frantisek worked there as a „four-milling“ (four-milling aid). In 1979 their son Eduard was born. Anezka had two more children from the first marriage.Something about the tribe of Anezka after the father Novak.

Next children weren´t found. Because of a higher age of mother (39) it was probably the only child. Somewhen after 1880 the family came back to Bystrice under Hostyn, where they apparently lived on. It can be documented by the certificate of Eduard, the pupil of the 4th class from 1892, brought out by National school in Bystrice under Hostyn.

Another fact is the confirmation of cousin Dusan Gajovský (from 2004), that he remembers as a child, he was with his great-grandmother in  Bystrice under Hostyn, somewhen in 1935, when Anezka Riedl-ova lived, but he never heard about a great-grandfather. The great-grandmother bathed him in a metal washing tube, then he also remebers that Anezka smoked a pipe, that was so long, she couldn´t light it on her own. So Anezka Riedl-ova died after 1935, at the age over 95 years.

18.3.1879 was born the son of 39 years old Anežka and 33 years old four-milling aid, František Riedl, in Kromeriz-Novosady, who was baptized on the 20th of March of the same year at Holy Moric by curate Tomas Vyoral.
Somewhen around 1900 young Eduard Riedl came to Moravská Ostrava, where he served out as a book printer. As a child I remember that grandfather Riedl was said to come to Ostrava as a poor swain with several kreutzers in his pocket and came from many children and his father was a miller. For the present I found that grandfather had two siblings – step-brothers Borovičkovy, so for this argument there are no proofs – it may be just such a talk.
On the 6th of February 1904 25 years old Eduard got married in Místek. His wife was just 17 years old Aloisie, daughter of Karl Prokop, joiner from Místek. About the tribe of Prokops, who come from Staříč, is chat on the separate pages. From this marriage we know two children.

JARMILA * 12.6.1904, married architect Karl Gájovský and had one son with him-Dušan Gajovský (*25.10.1927), Jarmila died in Ostrava 4.2.1981.

EDUARD * 6.11.1911, continuator of the main line

After the death of Aloisia (26.10.1924) in 1929 Eduard married again with Berta Polanska. From this marriage there were no descendants. Around 1926 Eduard Riedl bought a house in Ostrava, in the Šubertova street number 4, that was later rebuilt on printery. According to the aunt Věra Gebauerova he got money on the house from father-in-law Prokop, who sold the joinery workshop in Frýdek and hesped this way to buy the printery. Before war he employed about 50 employees. In Ostrava Eduard Riedl was a honourable citizen, agent in the city council , welcomed the president Edward Beneš, was a honorary member of Ostrava´s firemen. He also had a domiciliary privilege in Šumvald.. In his free time he was a passionate.
The printery was nationalizated after the war, Eduard didn´t get the property or the money for it back. Eduard died at his daughter Jarmila in Hulváky at the age of 85 years.

30 years old Eduard got married 18 years old Alena, daughter of chief master of policemen Jan Kozel and his wife Pavla, born Valuch-ova, who worked that time for 36 years old book printer Eduard Riedl and 24 years old wife Alena in Vratimov. Alena gave birth to her son in 1947 in  Ostrava- Zabreh and he was baptized the same year in Roman Catholic chapelry in  Ostrava Zabreh, Jan Veselka co-operator. The god-father was Dušan Gajovský. Eduard and Alena had the only child.

born in Moravska Ostrava, Eduard served out in the printery of his fatherf for printer, studied for sometime in  Lipsko. After was, before nationalization of the printery he died . Eduard died at the age of 44 years in Ostrava on Stodolní street 17. His wife Alena then got married Jiri Beranek, with who she had one more child, Jana (*1966)

Eduard III., as an post-war child, lived another era than his predecessors. He lived with his parents in Ostrava 1, on Stodolní street 17, on the thirrd floor, with conduit and toilet in the corridor. He visited Primary School in Ostrava 1, Podebradova 33. His mother got married Jiri Beranek after few years of the death of her husband again. That time whole family moved to Ostrava, Marianske Hory. After finishing the Primary School, Eduard studied grammar school in  Ostrava in Smeralova street. After this school he went to the University Banská and came to the coliery in Karviná – mine CSA.
At his 28 years Eduard got married Zdenka, daughter of Miroslav Vrobel, railman, and Anna, librarian, daughter of Kubacka from  Handlova.
Then their two sons were born:

Ondrej * 1979

Both sons were born in Ostrava in Fifejdy. And this is new chapter of the family-tree, that is just being written.
Michal got married Iva Moravcova in 2006 , daughter of Lubomír Moravec and Yvona, born Teichman-ova. He lives in Paskov and in 2005 born their daughter Valerie.

Ondrej got married Hanka Sliva-ova, daughter of Milan Sliva and Anicka Gibiec-ová. They live in Vratimov and in 2005 born their son Robin.
